P1 Personal attributes valued by employers

Personal attributes valued by employers

Attributes that employers value are your general attributes, specific attributes and your attitudes.
A part time job I would like to do is to either be at any shop (argos, smyths, co op etc) and I would do shelf stacking or behind the till.

General attributes

Communication: This will be how you generally communicate to other. It is also needed for the use in team work because good communication between team mates is better than trying to say everything at once.
Problem solving: This will be good as this would work out in many situations so for example in a team where your team has to work something out together.

Specific attributes

Health and safety: This will be critical as this will see if you care about peoples safety.
Passion: A lot of the jobs you will do will require you to be passionate about what you are doing because they would not hire people who just don't like what they are doing or just being lazy.

Attitudes

Behaviour: This is valued because employers don't like people who are disrespectful to other workers as this would be childish.
Attendance: This is important because a employer wouldn't want to hire a person who gets paid for nothing. Attendance is crucial to a company as it won't always work with missing people.
